17″ Syd Hill Australian Stock Saddle

Now, this is a cool saddle! Too often, the Australian saddle market is full of economy, low end saddles. This one is darn nice, from a historical company that is synonymous with quality. This one is stamped 17″, on a Medium tree, in stunning black leather that is butter soft. This one has all the modifications you’d want on an Aussie-slanted, weighted stirrups, no over-girth and English/dressage billet, low profile leathers, grab strap on the front, and real shearling underside. This one has a lower, wider seat that doesn’t lack security with bold swell blocks. Even though this one is stamped a Medium tree, it measures 5″, fitting closer to a wide with a wide bar angle and wide flare towards the back of the tree. In fact, this one came off a Friesian and fit brilliantly. The leather on the fenders is very soft, with lower profile leathers to give a rider’s knees and angles ample support. Most Aussies have over girths, however, this one is has been modified to have it removed, adding two Dressage billets to be able to use an English/Dressage girth. It can have the over girth added again. All brass fittings, lots of rings for packs, skirt measures 25″, and weighs 25 lbs. This one is darn nice, one that won’t last long with this quality or at this price!
