17″ Lovatt & Ricketts Ellipse Wide Dressage

Ok, we love, LOVE Lovatt & Ricketts (LNR) saddles. Love them! This one is in such nice condition and is ready for those #chunkymonkeys out there. Stamped 17″, fitting generously with a deep seat, narrow twist that feels so secure. On longer, semi forward flaps that measures 16″ with moderate blocks that aid in equitation without being too confining. This one is stamped Wide, fitting one the wide side of wide, with its gullet measuring 6″. Not quite a hoop tree, but darn close with a “U” shaped tree, wide channel and a bit of curve to the tree. If you have a pony, Halfie, or wide QH type, this one is one to look at! The buffalo leather is so darn grippy, offering a bit of texture to the leather that is more durable and softens so well. This one has is butter soft. Short, short panel at just 18″, wool flocked that has been well maintained, and seriously guys…this one is so darn comfy! The Ellipse from LNR is one of the most popular models, with riders at the Olympic levels as well as hobby riders. The close contact feel of this model is hard to replicate. This saddle has been a favorite of its rider, but has been well cared for and maintained. Showing a bit of discoloration to the buffalo leather, couple scraps and very minor blemishes, but we are being picky at this point. In very good used condition. Grab this one before we talk ourselves into another LNR!
