This is such a nice saddle from Crosby! From Crosby’s Prix St. George line of saddles, designed with input from some of the top dressage riders at the time with the goal to create a saddle that is comfortable, grippy, and supportive of equitation. The leather on this saddle, which what led to the Sofride name, is ultra-soft leather that is still incredibly durable, yet somehow getting softer with time and use. Even the panels are made from this leather, aiding in conforming to your horse’s back. This one is a true 18″ saddle, offering a very deep seat, deep seat bed, and very narrow twist. Straighter flaps that offer a longer/lower block, which adds support without being too confining. On what appears to be Crosby’s standard (Medium) tree, measuring 4.5″, with a slightly wider channel and curvier tree. In a rich brown, which we love to see in a dressage saddle! This is an older saddle, but has been VERY lightly used, living most of it’s life in storage. Aside from a couple minor scuffs, this saddle is in excellent conditions. Billets hardly show a girth mark. The panels are upswept, making this a great option for a shorter backed horse. Low gussets, dual flocked–meaning foam over wool. This is a very affordable, classic saddle ready to get you into dressage without breaking the bank!
