Romel Braided Leather Decorative Saddle Rope w/ Sterling Silver Ferrules

We wish we knew the history of this rope, as they are clearly a well made piece of vintage tack. Decorative ropes are a bit of an older custom, where tack was included in a show or equitation saddle. Even if you aren’t keen on using it as a decorative tack item, the stunning ferrules are worth it to be used on another piece of tack. Made from finely braided leather, in a round/romel style with raised details. Leather is a very dark brown. Finished off with sterling silver ferrules and beads. Obviously we cannot see if the silver is marked, but each are clearly sterling and tests as such. 138″ total in length, quite thin in diameter. We were awfully tempted to pull the silver off this set, but they are too nice to do that to. Lovely, vintage piece of tack.
