14.5″ Vintage Circle Y Equitation Saddle

This awesome, older (1975 model) Circle Y is aging like a fine wine! There’s a reason that these saddles are so popular–they are built to last! This one was made when horses weren’t quite as wide as now, built on Semi Bars that measures 6″ with a moderately wider flare, decent wither clearance, and a bit flatter through the bars. This one was built before Circle Y started using metal serial number medallions, so its serial number is stamped way up under the near side fenders. So, we are going off of measurements/style. Measures 15″ to stitching, but with how the seat is shaped, fits true to 14.5″ . This one is made very much in the all around equitation style with a raised twist, deeper seat bed, duck bill style low roper horn, and with almost a reining saddle look. In our favorite dark oiled color, and is fully tooled basketweave stamping with lots of the prettiest classic Sheridan floral tooling. We love the stainless lacing details on the cantle and skirt too. Finally, this stunning older saddle is fully edged in white buck stitching. Talk about sharp! This is an older saddle, but has overall been well cared for–but does show some signs of age and use. There’s a bit of color loss in a few places-but we think it gives it a cool, antiqued look. Is a bit dry from storage, and the off side stirrup is ‘wonky’ as it was stored with a broom handle in it for far too long to turn the fenders. However, given its age…and the fact this saddle could apply for an AARP membership…its in incredible condition. A bit of oil/conditioning will do this awesome saddle wonders.  This is a lovely, older saddle that has a ton of riding left in it. Heck, it would be a heck of a decor piece, too. At this price, you truly can’t go wrong!
