16″ CL Custom Strip Down Ranch Saddle

We can’t tell you how excited we are to offer one of our own saddles used! That may sound crazy, but it’s an awesome feeling to see our own saddles out there working, see how incredibly well they age and hold up, and to be able to offer a nice used one like this without the brand new price, or the wait. This one has been a favorite of its rider, however a change of disciplines and horses means their favorite saddle is up for grabs! This one is a Stripped Down Ranch Saddle, built on a Hadlock & Fox Olin Young roper tree, designed to be a work horse of a saddle while still comfortable as a daily rider. Bull hide wrapped tree, on QH Bars that measure 6.5″ x 8″, offering a ton of shoulder flare, ample wither clearance, and moderate rock through the bars. This will fit a thicker, fit QH type horse well. Fully roughed out, heavier ounce Hermann Oak leather with a subtle stamped border. Narrower Cheyenne roll, #18 horn (3″ tall, 1.5″ cap) so it’s such a gut puncher, and is currently mule wrapped. Slightly dropped in-skirt front rigging, with large stainless rigging rings that have all been reinforced. Rounded, and equitation cut skirt for a really close contact feel. Has mounted hoof pick pouch on the rear skirts and has had a nice set of metal wrapped weighted roper stirrups added. Fenders do have a ton of adjustment–but, they are a bugger to adjust. This saddle is built tight and it’s a game of tug-of-war to get them to pull through the tree. Fenders have been pre-turned. While this saddle has been used it has been incredibly well cared for. Shows minor/typical signs of use. This saddle was made to hold up to hard work, which means heavy duty material and heavy weight. It weighs 39 lbs. This is a heck of a working rig, one you can rely on, but also pretty enough to show the ranch classes too. Grab it while you can!
