14″ Vintage Circle Y All Around Equitation Saddle

We rarely offer saddles that are nearing what we consider ‘well used’ but this one is a solid exception. This is an OLD Circle Y, made before they were serialized, so is likely from the early 1960s. What makes this even cooler is this saddle has been owned by the same family since the day it was purchased new. The details on this saddle are incredible. Offers stunning tooling, fancy boot stitched seat, a bit of buck stitching, and even has a hoof pick holder stitched into the rear skirts. Very much in an old style reining equitation style with a very deep seat bed, lower cantle, and wide topped horn. On what appears to be Semi QH bars that measure 6″ with wider shoulder flare and flatter through the bars. This will fit an old style QH type horse well. 14″ seat, fits true to measurement. In skirt rigging. Has very adjustable fenders that go short enough for a youth rider, but plenty long enough for adults. Does not come with stirrups. This one was made when each piece of the saddle was handmade in shop–you just don’t see these details anymore! Even has real shearling (wool) underside. Ok, why are we calling this one ‘well used’? It’s been stored in a shop as a decor item for some time and has dried out considerable. It has age related surface cracking to the leather in many places. We’ve inspected it and its sound, but it needs time and attention. It is sound to use as is, but needs some love. Or, this would be a stunning decor saddle!
