Vintage Vogt Sterling Silver 3pc Halter Bridle Buckles

This is an INCREDIBLE vintage solid sterling silver, larger buckles sets that could be used in a variety of different ways. These would look amazing on a show halter or headstall! These are made by a known maker for Vogt, made by a silversmith firm out of Guadalajara, Mexico. While not marked with a maker, is marked with the firm’s name, Plata De Jalisco and is marked with Vogt’s early mark of a V in a shield. Additionally, this came off of a Vogt marked halter and the other pieces from the halter were marked Vogt. Either way, these are incredible. The buckles show Vogt’s open engraving style that is very recognizable of high end tack of the early 1900s. This iconic style is still highly sought after! This is a matching pair of 3pc buckle sets. In really great condition given their age. One of the keepers is a bit out of square and there is a bit of widening of the nail holes, but all are in tack. These haven’t been shined up, so do show natural patina. You won’t find many in this condition, that’s for sure! Buckle Measurements: 2 1/16″ wide x 2 1/8″ long, will fit a strap up to 1″ wide.
