4 7/8″ Crockett Renalde Short Shank Curb Bit

This is a very interesting and surprising bit from Crockett. Crockett is known for aluminum bits and ones with a very recognizable look. This one is solid iron and with a very short shank–which is not only a very usable bit, this one has some serious collector value. However…it is stamped stainless….definetly not stainless. This bit is in incredible, hardly used condition showing next to zero rust or oxidation at all. Marked ST, CR (Crockett Renalde). Great smaller mouth at 4 7/8″ moderate/wider port mullen mouth, fixed shanks. Port measures 1 5/8″, offering ample tongue relief without much correction. VERY short shanks that are just slightly swept back, measuring 7″. Quite weighty, really well balanced. Show legal bit.
