5″ Dutton Sweet & Sour Twisted Snaffle

Here is a really nice, Dutton. Please note, this one is unmarked-which is not unusual of older Dutton bits, but is clearly one. However, we have priced it as an unmarked bit. 5″ mouth with snaffle joint, nice contour to the mouth with Western D cheeks. The mouth is often called “Sweet and Sour” which is sweet iron and copper, to promote salivation. Twisted mouth that isn’t as sharp as many. Standard rings at 3 1/4″. In very lightly used condition, has some minor surface rust as typical of iron bits. Great colt bit! Has a great weight to it.
