5″ Ed Sims Ported Long Shank Curb Bit

This is a nice, very well balanced curb bit from the late Ed Sims of Bandera, Tx. This one offers a 5″ copper mouth with a lower/wider port on a fixed/mullen mouth. Very short purchase, long Cavalry style shanks that measure 9 5/8″. Shanks are thinner in diameter to help cut down on some weight to keep the balance in the mouth. Has a bit of sliding action on the purchase. Marked Sims on the shank. This bit hasn’t seen much use at all, very little marking to the mouth which is unusual with a softer material like copper. Really nice balance and feel on this curb. These great bits by Ed Sims are getting harder to get ahold of, especially in this condition!
