5″ JD Morrow Loomis Curb Bit

This is a nice, very well balanced curb bit from JD Morrow of Parker County, Tx. This one offers a 5″ sweet iron mouth that is a slightly thicker diameter, with a hinge joint rather than a traditional snaffle joint to limit the nut cracker effect without adding correction. On Loomis style shanks that are a bit swept back, measuring 8.25″. This bit has a brilliant balance and feel. Its in excellent used condition, showing age/use typical rust on the sweet iron mouth. JD Morrow has been making bits for decades, each hand made in his shop. You can’t beat a handcrafted bit like this!
