5″ Levi Derner Custom Curb Bit

Custom bits not only last, but they can make all the difference with your horse. A well balanced bit can refine your cues, support your horses’ training, and prevent injury or breaking of your equipment. This 5″ high port Curb is from the South Dakota bit maker, Levi Derner. Derner is a young cowboy who made his name int he rodeo ring. While he hasn’t been building long, its clear he’s incredibly talented and mades a heck of a bit. Longer, Loomis style shanks that are fully lined in dots with a 5″ fixed mouth with a wider/taller port. Port measures 2 1/8″. Shanks measure 8 3/8″. Solid iron bit, clearly used very little but has been stored in some humidity, so has a bit of surface rust. A quick brush off with a wire brush will do it wonders. Great bit with fantastic weight and feel, very well balanced. In excellent used condition. This is one to grab!
