Vintage Hand Plaited Rawhide Bosalita

Really lovely, true vintage bosalita. We so wish we had the history of this price, as clearly this was plaited by a very talented maker. Thin in diameter, quite flexible, and made from excellent quality rawhide. 1/2″ diameter, with a wider nose at 3/8″. Doesn’t have a chin knot, but the shape of the bottom would allow for a mecate or tie down to be added. Could easily function as a noseband if a braided slide was added. Has a very simple lacing leather hanger on it, but nothing to get too excited about. Very, very finely plaited. In excellent condition, showing minor discoloration from time and use. As it sits, measures 12″ long by 7″ wide. This bosalita is ready to ride or add to a collection.
