Leon Martinez Navajo Sterling Silver Belt Buckle

This outstanding, concho style belt buckle is made by famed Navajo silver and jewelry maker Leon Martinez. Leon is a generational jewelry/silver maker, learning from his parents- Leo and Edith Martinez-both of which are famed/respected artists in their own right. Leon is well recognized for his Art Deco, nature inspired pieces, with most of his work being pendants and rings. It is rare to see a belt buckle from Leon Martinez! This concho style belt buckle is in incredible condition with a great look. Domed with a bit of scalloping on the edge with classic engraving work. Unisex, is a really nice size, and will fit most belts. Marked LM and upside down “Sterling” which is Leon’s maker’s mark. Solid sterling silver, plenty of silver weight here. In excellent used condition, showing typical tarnish/patina. Measures: 2 3/8” long, 2 ¼” wide, and will fit a belt up to 1 ¼”.
