Here is a nice, vintage belt buckle that has such a nice look! This is an older buckle, made by famed silver maker Manuel Hoyungowa who trained under masters such as Preston Monongye and others at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe. In a very traditional Hopi design, with textured silver to capture patina that makes it appear black age and time. This is an earlier buckle, not marked sterling typical of his earlier work, but tests as such. Marked with his well recognized hall mark. In stunning condition! Measures 3″ long by 2 3/8″ wide. Will fit up to a 1 3/4″ belt/strap. This is truly a vintage item, showing minor age appropriate tarnish/patina. As typical with sterling buckles, shows a very teeny surface scuffs but will buff out. We have not shined this buckle, as many do appreciate the natural patina. Lovely buckle! Wear it or add it to a collection.
