Vintage Gretsch 6130 Roundup Guitar Belt Buckle

$399.00

This buckle is a literal piece of music history….yes, seriously! Designed as a decal addition to the famed 6130 Roundup Guitar by Fred Gretsch, which was the first introduction of a solid body guitar that was finished in the now iconic orange varnish. The overall style of the guitar was based upon the romantic concept of the “Old West” and by-gone musical eras, with unique design features that included a tooled leather strap, his brand literally branded into the wood, pearl accents, inlayed steer head….and the tailpiece a literal belt buckle—THIS belt buckle. The buckle is from Vogel in copper, and adorned these classic guitars from 1953-1957. Only three buckle designed were used and were trade marked by Vogel and Gretsch for this team-up. While it was designed as a western flare accent for these amazing guitars, the buckle was also designed to be sturdy enough to use. Additionally, some Gretsch amps also had these cool buckles. This is an original, authentic buckle. Not marked as typical of the early years, only showing the Vogel stamp starting in late 1954. Measures 3 1/8” long, 1 7/8” wide, fitting a belt up to 1 5/8”. Ready to use, add to your collection, or finish off your guitar. A great price, leaving you plenty in your pocket to afford the $15k price tag for a 1953-1957 Gretsch Roundup guitar.
