Here is a nice, older Stonewall Endurance saddle that offers great quality without the high price tag. Stonewall has been building endurance saddles since the 1970’s, becoming a household name for saddles that fit a horse and rider well, are comfortable for hours in the saddle, while lasting. This awesome saddle came in as a refurb project, spending a good amount of time hanging out in a barn. Despite being forgotten about for years, this saddle is in remarkable condition and really only had some cosmetic issues. This one isn’t marked Stonewall, aside from an old stamp on the tree cover (underside, gullet channel), so the original tag with its specs are gone. We are going off of measurements. This one measures 15″, and even with the deeper cantle and seat, fits like 14.5″, with very adjustable fenders. Has wider, nylon stirrups with the original leather, western style leather fenders/stirrup covers. Western rigged with center fire, self adjusting and adjustable rigging. The rigging system is really cool on this saddle, offering nylon strapping that is easily adjusted at the cantle and pommel. The back of the rigging ring is lined in thick wool/fleece, as is the underside. On what measures a Medium tree, with a 5.5″ gullet (measurement looks wider than it actually) that is quite “A” framed with ample wither clearance and plenty of rock to the tree/bars. Super, super short round skirt at just 20.5″. The best part is this saddle weighs in at just 18lbs! This saddle did have some mouse/chew damage along the edging, but most has been repaired. The most noticeable is on the very front of the pommel, but is minor and hardly noticeable. We’ve replaced the nylon rigging, dropped rigging leather piece (and wool backing), reinforced a some of the hardware, all screws, and crupper ring. Despite being an older saddle, this one has incredibly soft leather and aside from very minor cosmetic blemishes, is in very good used condition. Does not come with stirrups. This is a heck of price for a Stonewall!
