17.5″ Loriner Equine By Barry Swain All Purpose English Saddle

If you don’t recognize this brand, you are not alone! This one inspired us to do some research, and needless to say, we are impressed. Loriner Equestrian Products of Walsall, UK we the premier tack and leather goods wholesaler of Europe, Canada, and the US in the 1960s-early 1990s, working with local/quality craftsman who manufactured tack under the Loriner name. Loriner didn’t offer saddles for very long, but when they did, they were made but the famous, and very well respected saddler Barry Swain (formal a builder with Beval, now owns Better Saddles and Swain Holistic Saddles). Despite being an older saddle, this one is incredible quality and in incredible condition. It is the perfect marriage between an All Purpose saddle and a Dressage Saddle, in all black and offers a true 17.5″ seat. It has a semi-deep seat, very narrow twist, and has lightly textured leather for ample grip. On a WIDE tree that measures 5.5″, wider channel, shorter tree points, and a bit of a curvier tree making this a perfect option for chunkier built horses such as ponies, Haflies, Morgans, ect. Has a semi-forward flap that measures 14.5″ with a low block. Is AP billeted. This saddle is just lovely with butter soft leather. Shows minor signs of wear, but clearly very well cared for. This is a great quality saddle, perfect for just about any arena. At this price, you can’t go wrong!
