18.5” Sommer Savoie Flextra Monoflap Dressage Saddle

Wow ooo wow is this an amazing saddle! It is all that you’d expect from one of the premier German saddlers, with classic quality paired with modern technology. This 2008 18.5″ Sommer Savoy/Savoie Flextra Monoflap dressage saddle is like riding on a cloud! A generous fitting 18.5″ with a great deep seat and very narrow twist, paired with textured calf leather this saddle is secure and so grippy. Stamped 32 cm, which is Sommer’s Wide tree, measuring 5.5″. This one is a bit deceiving in how it fits, as it was specially designed for the ‘typical’ dressage horse (think Warmblood) with a quasi high head tree, very short tree points and a bit of build up to fill in hollow spots strong wither horses often have. On a fixed tree, but can be adjusted by a Sommer saddler. Very wide channel, curvy tree, lower gussets for a close contact feel, and shorter panel length at just 19.5″. Has Monoflaps and half panel design, giving its rider a great close contact feel. 17.5″ flap with a very bold higher external block that gives your leg ample support. Wool flocked with flocking in excellent and well maintained condition. The billets are towards the end of their lifespan, but are still sound for more ride time. This is SUCH a nice saddle, with butter soft and grippy leather, rides like a dream and is just so darn fancy too. In very good condition all around, showing normal signs of use in the form of a few scratches but all minor.  All this makes this saddle even more affordable…to buy this new it is well over $6000!
