18.5″ Stubben Scandica Close Contact/AP

Here is a lovely saddle by Stubben, one of our all time favorite brands! This Stubben Scandica offers a seat that measures and fits true to 18.5″, making this a great option for many riders while still offering a deep seat and narrow twist. 30 cm per serial flap, fitting like a Medium Wide, measuring 5″ with a nice open tree head, more “A” framed tree, and a bit curvier with a wide channel. This saddle is the perfect cross between a CS (close contact) and VSD (forward dressage flaps), making this perfect for all around work. Would consider these flaps to be semi-forward. Dressage, low fences, and flat classes are covered with this one saddle. The flaps aren’t so long as many AP saddles at 15″, and have a suede knee rolls with a longer, moderate profile knee block. 20″ upswept panel and is wool flocked. Flocking has been well maintained. In good used conditions, but does have signs of being a well loved saddle. There is some minor cracking on the seat and at the natural creases long the front panel, minor scuffs and scrapes. Has been professionally dyed at some point. When we say loved, its been well cared for too. It has very soft leather, very good billets, and clearly stored well too. Lovely, quality saddle!
