18.5″ Stubben Scandica DL Dressage

Here is a lovely saddle by Stubben, one of our all time favorite brands! This Stubben Scandica is a generous fitting 18.5″-making this a great option for a plus size rider, who is still needing a deeper seat and the famed narrow twist Stubben offers. Per serial number, this one is a 29cm tree, which is Stubben’s Medium, fitting true to that.  Has an “A” framed tree, with great clearance through the channel, perfect for a horse with a stronger wither. DL flaps, which are a slightly forward set Dressage flap making this a great option for a leggier rider, or a rider who prefers a shorter leather when in dressage.  Flaps measure 16″ and have a suede knee rolls with a longer, bold profile knee block. 20.5″ upswept panel and is wool flocked. In good used condition, but is showing some signs of use and age. Has a bit of rubbing at the welting at the cantle head, minor surface cracking on the knee rolls and seat, but all are minor and more cosmetic in nature. The under flaps/sweat flaps are quite dry, and have rolled under themselves from being on a saddle rack. However, Stubben leather quality is great and these have already softened a bit with just a bit of conditioning. We very recently replaced the billets on this one, so they are nearly new! Wool flocked and flocking is in good condition. Lovely, quality saddle!
