18.5″ Stubben Scandica Short Flap Dressage

Here is a lovely saddle by Stubben, one of our all time favorite brands! This Stubben Scandica is a generous fitting 18.5″-making this a great option for a plus size rider, who is still needing a deeper seat and the famed narrow twist Stubben offers. Per serial number, this one is a 31cm tree, which is Stubben’s Medium Wide, fitting on the wide side of MW. Has an “U” framed tree, with great clearance through the channel, perfect for a horse with a rounder toppling or wither. DL Extra flaps, which are a slightly forward set and shorter Dressage flap making this a great option for a shorter-legged rider, or a rider who prefers a shorter leather when in dressage.  Flaps measure 15″ and have a suede knee rolls with a longer, bold profile knee block. Has AP billets, rather than dressage/long billets. 20″ upswept panel and is wool flocked. In good used condition, but is showing some signs of use and age. Has minor fading, a few shallow nicks, minor surface cracking on the knee rolls and seat, but all are minor and more cosmetic in nature. The under flaps/sweat flaps are dry, and have rolled under themselves from being on a saddle rack. However, Stubben leather quality is great and these have already softened a bit with just a bit of conditioning. Wool flocked and flocking is in good condition. Lovely, quality saddle!
