There’s a reason that the Corona model dressage saddle has become one of the most popular saddle on the market, of both everyday riders and professionals. This Corona is an earlier one (the current model is the Corona II), and offers incredible comfort to both horse and rider. This one is stamped a 17.5″, however measures and fits true to an 18″ the a semi deep seat, incredibly narrow twist, with inset stirrup bars to ensure your stirrups are hanging right under your hips. Semi-forward flap that measure 17″ with textured leather over the knee roll to offer more grip. The sweat flap is shorter to offer a closer contact feel, which also shortens the block. The block is curved and quite bold, supporting the rider’s leg well without being confining. On a X-Wide tree, measuring 6.5″ with the popular high head pommel, giving ample wither clearance. Has a bit of a curvier tree, with wide channel. Also has skid row panels. We love the billets on this one. It has a point billet that is set just a bit lower than most points, while still having two straight billets. No need to bring this to your saddler if a point billet doesn’t work for you! Billets are sound. This saddle has been a favorite of its last rider, but incredibly well cared for. Flocking has been well maintained, billets were replaced not too long ago, and clearly oiled often. The leather on this saddle is butter soft. Heck, even the flaps hardly show leather marks. Overall, shows minor/typical wear. Has a small nick in the welting on the pommel. Has a bit of creasing on the front panels. This is a darn nice saddle, while older, has been well maintained. Its such a great option for a larger seat without breaking the bank.
