5.25″ Myler D Ring Cyprium Correction w/ Hooks

Very lightly used 5.25″ Myler D Cyprium Correctional Low Port D with Hooks (MB 27LB, Level 3). Level 3 with a correction port that offers some tongue relief, hooks for mild leverage option, and a point that offers an option for a curb chain. This bit allows the rider/horse pair many options for their training needs. In excellent used condition, mouth does show minor darkening from oxidization, which is typical of Cryprium. This is a now discontinued model and very hard to find! Per Myler:

The MB 27LP is a Myler correctional mouthpiece, which is a ported mouthpiece that collapses on to the outer lip and bars, and rotates on to the tongue. The port, although narrow, offers room for the horse’s tongue to pass under the bit. When the reins are engaged and the mouthpiece rotates on to the tongue, it applies two concentrated points of pressure on the tongue for quick control. Because this port is only 1 ¼” high, it will apply little to no palate pressure. Cyprium is a nickel-free copper alloy suitable for horses with a sensitivity to nickel.
