5″ Myler HBT Short Shank Low Port Comfort Snaffle

5″ Myler Level 2 HBT Short Shank in very good used condition. With MB04 Low Port comfort snaffle. Sweet iron mouth that has started to rust, copper inlays, all for a pleasant taste and to promote salivation for your horse. MB04 mouth, which offers tongue relief. Offers just the right amount tongue relief without added correction. With time and use, the sweet iron mouth rusts to offer a pleasant taste for your horse.  Per Myler:

The MB 04 is similar to the MB 02 in that it will rotate on the tongue and apply tongue pressure, however, it has a small (¼”) port that introduces some tongue relief to the horse. The port allows the horse to swallow and move his tongue when he is moving forward and relaxed, which acts as a release or reward. The mouthpiece is curved, and it wraps around the bars and lips instead of pinching. Sweet iron mouthpiece oxidizes and encourages salivation.

Notes: The mouthpiece is similar to the MB 02 but the center barrel of the MB 01 is narrower, which concentrates pressure on the center of the tongue more than the MB 02. For more tongue relief, step up to the MB 04.

The 5″ HBT shank is stainless steel and slightly curved back, with a flat-top purchase and a rein ring. The mouthpiece has a fixed attachment. The HBT shank has the patented Independent Swivel Cheek, where the purchase, mouthpiece and shank all move independently of each other. The purchase is slightly angled away from the cheek to avoid rubbing. It has an indirect (curb) rein action designed to be used with a curb strap which attaches to the purchase. The HBT shank uses the combination of the fixed cheek and fixed rein to apply pressure to the mouth, chin and poll.
