5″ Myler HBT Short Shank Medium Wide Ported Barrel Curb

Very nice, hardly used 5″ Myler HBT Short Shank with Sweet Iron Sweet, medium wide ported mouth, (MB05, Level 2/3) with Copper Inlays. This mouthpiece is made of polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes or rusts. Harmless to horses, it has a sweet taste and promotes salivation. The mouth is sweet iron, so does rust to offer a pleasant sweet taste for the horse. In very lightly used condition, mouth is barely starting to rust.

Per Myler: The MB05 is one of the mildest Myler mouthpieces in terms of tongue pressure. The generously wide port allows room for the tongue to pass under the bit. However, unlike the solid MB 33, the MB 05 collapses slightly, although it does not fully rotate onto the tongue like a Level 1 or Level 2 mouthpiece. This gives the mouthpiece more give and may apply some light tongue pressure, although it works primarily off the lips and bars. The port on this mouthpiece is only 1 ¼” high, so it will apply little to no palate pressure. Because the MB 05 offers such a high degree of tongue relief, the horse that goes well in this mouthpiece has a trustworthy and consistent disposition and is trained to work off the leg and seat as well as the hands.
