5″ Myler Hinged Bristol Barrel Full Cheek Snaffle w/ Hooks

Here is a nice snaffle bit from Myler. Here is in excellent used condition bit, with stainless mouth. 5″ mouth with a nice contour, offers slightly longer cheeks than the current model by Myler, with hooks for mild leverage options. This is the older/discontinued style of the current MB40 mouth, offering a unique port that rotates at each end, preventing the nutcracker effect without adding correction. Bristol hinged center with roller, copper inlays on the mouth. Standard 6″ full cheeks, with single hook that offer a bit of change to engagement/leverage. In excellent used condition, this is a nice bit. Discontinued model and you rarely see these ones available for sale!

Per Myler (MB40):

This design’s goal is to remove the nutcracker effect of traditional snaffles, but still give the support many horses desire from a Myler bit. This mouthpiece is made of polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes or rusts. Harmless to horses, it has a sweet taste and promotes salivation. This bit offers hooks to give the rider more leverage options, but can be ridding in the D like a traditional snaffle.
