5″ Bob Blackwood BB Short Shank Curb Bit

Bob Blackwood is known as a heck of a spur maker. He didn’t make many bits, but the ones he did are highly collectable and rarely available on the used market. This classic curb is marked with Bob’s BB mark. In a short shank style in all iron that has a blackened finish to it. 5″ mouth copper mouth with snaffle joint, with short shanks that measure 6.75″. There’s a bit of gag/sliding action to the mouth, but is limited with the small ring at the mouth. Bit has a nice weight to it, and has a great balance and feel. Despite being an older bit, this one is in excellent/lightly used condition. Grab this bit while you can, it may be a while until you see another one like it!
