This 5” Santa Barbara cheek spade is finely engraved as typical of Aguilar’s work, with engraved sterling silver all down the shanks and slobber bar, with raised silver dots on the side of the shank, in a round floral concho shape. On antiqued brown metal, with Alligator style spade mouth, with engraving work carried through on the copper spade. Copper wrapped brace, straight mouth bar, copper inlays on the mouth, and free rolling copper Cricket.  It is marked inside “Paulino Aguilar Since 1954”. 5” mouth, 8” shanks, 3.5” from top of spade to bottom of mouth bar. In hardly used condition. Has spent most of its life apart of a collection, and has been apart of ours. It’s time to offer this stunning piece to you—we can’t hoard all of them!
