24″ Handmade Palomino Horse Hair Mecate Reins

This is a nice Mecate set. Quite beautiful and clearly a handmade piece. No branding or marks on it, but came in with a lot of high end vintage tack. However is marked Hencho Mexico (on leather popper on the inside of one tassel end), clearly made by an expert braider. No signs of use at all, has been part of a collection for decades. A collector who had incredible taste. What makes this one so unique is that its Palomino tail hair, nearly white. You don’t see many solid creme/Palomino mecates very often. Very, very finely plaited. Total length is 24′ and is about 1/2″ diameter. Really nice set of mecate reins.
