13.5″ TexTan Hereford Barrel Saddle

Goodness, is this youth barrel saddle from Tex Tan ever cute as heck! It is like you took a barrel saddle and shrunk it in the dryer–without compromising quality, safety, or saddle fit. Very similar to TexTan Hereford’s popular Go ‘Round barrel saddle in look and fit. This one is TRULY youth friendly-but will also work for a petite adult rider too! Stamped 14″, however fits true to 13.5″ with a deeper seat, 3.5″ cantle, and slightly raised twist. On QH bars, on a Steel Equi-fit fiberglass wrapped tree, measuring 6.75″ with ample wither clearance, a ton of flare, a bit flatter through the bars. This one fits wide and low. That, pared with a super super short skirt at just 22.5″, this would work for a pony too! 3″ forward set barrel racing horn, 8.5″ thigh space. Fenders are free swinging, offering a ton of adjustment. Stirrup leathers are backed in nylon rather than leather to help cut down on weight and resistance to the fenders. Roughed out over the jockeys and fenders with classic sunflower tooling on rest of the saddle. Super sharp! Finished off with brand new aluminum grip barrel stirrups. This one (per serial number) is a 2008 model, but frankly, its in far better condition than saddles a fraction of its age. Clearly very lightly used and stored well. Leather is super soft, rough out hardly shows any marks or wear. This youth saddle is so nice and is an affordable way to get you kiddo started, without compromising safety or saddle fit. This one won’t last long!
