14.5″ Billy Cook Classic All Around Ranch Saddle

This is a HECK of a work saddle. This Billy Cook Classic (OK Made) #6500 is a true all around/all event saddle. Built on a heavy duty rawhide wrapped wood tree, its reinforced in all the right places to hold up to just about anything. While not a true rope saddle, this one has a reinforced post horn that is more than ready to dally or pony. This one is on a 15” tree, but with the deeper seat and bit of padding, fits and measures true to 14.5”. Don’t let that seat size scare you away, the fenders have an insane amount of adjustment, going plenty long enough for even the leggiest of rider. On Full QH bars, measuring 6.5” with a TON of flare and decent rock through the bars. This one will fit a wide shouldered, athletic/modern bred QH type horse well. 26.5” skirt that is equitation cut for a close contact feel. The leather on this saddle is butter soft and very sharp with the skirts fully tooled in basketweave stamping, carried through to the fenders and rigging. 7/8ths rigged with large, all stainless and reinforced rings, and comes fully rigged with a wide roping back cinch. Does not have the original stirrups, but still has a nice pair of rawhides on it. The seat is really sharp on this one with red and white fancy stitching, giving it just a bit of personality without being too much. This saddle has been very, very well cared for and doesn’t appear to have worked very hard in its life. Showing very minor/typical signs of use. If you’re looking for light weight, keep on looking. This work horse weighs in at about 42lbs with its tack. This saddle is a heck of a work saddle, and offered way WAY less than retail.
