14.5″ Circle Y Synthetic Park and Trail

Sometimes, if it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck…it actually is a goose. Despite looking like an Abetta, this is a Circle Y, we swear! For a short while in the early/mid 1990s, Circle Y built bright colored synthetic saddles that were made very similar to the older Abettas we all know and love. This one is bright cherry red and black, and while a bit of a jarring color on a saddle, is plenty cute. The serial number plate is missing from this saddle, but we have had this saddle’s twin in before, so are going off of info from that one and measurements. The seat measures and fits true to 14.5”, offering a suede seat with just the right amount of padding and a semi-deep seat with a 3.5” cantle. On what appears to be QH Bars, measuring 6.5”, offering wide flare, moderate wither clearance, and just a bit of rock to the bars. Built on a ralide tree, and paired with the synthetic material, this saddle is SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT at just 16lbs. All the red you see is a durable, canvas type material called Codura that is truly ‘wash and wear’. Is rip resistant, easy to clean, and requires next to zero maintenance. The black on the saddle is leather. Standard trail horn at 3”, very short skirt at just 23”. This is an older saddle and does show signs of use. Has some nicks/scuffs on the cantle, that latigo keepers on each side are VERY dry and are starting to crack a bit, but overall this saddle is in very good used condition. Sure, it isn’t the prettiest saddle out there (we are really NOT feeling the red), but it’s a quality saddle.  At this price, you can’t go wrong!
