14.5″ Hereford Tooled Pleasure Saddle

This saddle is like your favorite pair of blue jeans…not pretty enough for a fancy event but beyond comfortable and is an immediate boost to your confidence! This lovely older Hereford Pleasure/Trail saddle is an older one, but is just so darn comfy. Technically, this one is a 15″, but with the deeper seat, raised twist, and the nice padding fits closer to 14.5″. On Semi bars measuring 6″ with moderate flare and fits flatter through the bars. This is a great option for a narrower horse, think Appendix or OTTB that needs some clearance but also wide enough flare for powerful shoulders. This one is on a wood tree, however with the shorter, faux double skirt, weight has been cut down. 25″ skirt, in skirt rigging. 3″ horn and cantle. Fenders go insanely long, way long than you’d expect, but short enough for us short legged riders out there. In a lovely darker oiled leather, finished off with just a bit of very classic Sheridan floral tooling. Well maintained, leather is quite supple, with less wear than you’d expect given its age. There is a blemish over part of the serial number, but we think this one is from 1992. This lovely older Hereford is ready for decades of more ride time. At this price, you can’t go wrong either!
