14.5″ Hereford Vintage Western Saddle

We are awfully fond of this saddle–why, you ask? Our amazing 4H kiddo took this barn find and turned it into a project, doing the refurb almost completely on her own! We are so darn proud of her. This has had all stitching replaced on the seat and skirt, new lacing and leather rosettes, new great collar rigs, latigo holders, all internal screws replaces, and has been completely inspected! The fenders have been replaced-and while not new, they are very lightly use. Since both the fenders and leathers have been replaced, it is not marked Hereford. We included a picture of one of the original fenders to show the brand. That damaged fender DOES NOT come with saddle. This is an older Hereford, but is in great shape and can help riders start out safely and still be affordable. AND we know its sound, as its been stripped down to the tree. This 14.5″ Hereford is an all around style equitation saddle, on what seems like Semi QH Bars that measure 6″ with moderate flare and fits flatter through the bars. 24.5″ skirt and has very adjustable fenders, easily going long enough for a leggy rider. 2.5″ cantle, 2.5″ x 3″ reinforced horn, and in skirt rigging. The silver plate was replaced at some point and is not a perfect fit, so has a few extra silver plate holes. This is an older saddle so has some scuffs and scrapes, some mild drying to the leather, but is sound. These old saddles are helping inspire and educate the future of saddle building, and she so appreciates your support! These quality older saddles last a lifetime!
