14.5” Langerud Custom All Around Saddle

It is getting harder and harder to get ahold of a used Langerud Custom Saddle, especially some of the ‘fancier’ ones. Cliff is retired…mostly…kinda…so its worth taking advantage of the rare used ones. This is a true all around saddle, built on a modified CS Reining tree, with a lot of inspiration from a Buster Welch. This one will barrel, trail ride, and dally a rope just fine. Built on a 15″ tree, but with the nice deep seat and built up seat bed, this one fits like a 14.5″. On QH bars per tree specs (Bowden Tree), but fits wider than you’d expect from QH bars, measuring 7″ with a 8″ tall gullet height, with one offers ample wither clearance, wide flare, and has rock to the bars. This one is made to work, and fit a horse well. On a bullhide wrapped tree, with 3.5″ x 3″ post horn that can take a rope and dally. A more modern design that we usually see from Cliff, with inlayed antiqued leather bicycle seat, slightly dropped rigging, and more modern profile. Real fleece underside, made on Wicket and Craig leather with a simple, but beautiful design with serpentine stamping all the edge, and finished off with Jeremiah Watt hardware. Shorter single skirt at 24.5″, 3.5″ cantle, has an older pair of Walls aluminum stirrups, and very adjustable fenders. Fenders are free swinging and have a Hamley twist. Strings for your packs, comes with its rear latigos. This saddle has been used and loved. The leather has darkened a bit, with a bit of uneven color, but has been conditioned religiously. The leather on this one is butter soft! No major signs of use or wear, showing nothing more than a few scuffs and signs of use. This isn’t a light saddle, weighing in at about 35lbs.
