14.5″ Martin Fearless Barrel Saddle

Well, this thing is snazzy. Like, real snazzy. This 2019 Martin Fearless is in excellent condition, clearly incredibly well cared for. Made with the great team up of Martin Saddlery and Lisa Lockhart, this saddle is designed for riders need a saddle appropriate for the rodeo arena, training and everyday riding. With a slightly raised twist, deeper seat, and fenders that hang straighter, this one keeps its rider more vertical in the saddle to support equitation. However, fenders are still free swinging.  Per serial number, this one has a 14.5″ seat, fitting true to that with a deep seat and higher cantle at 4″. The tree shape is specially designed by Lisa Lockhart, who developed it after lots of trial and error, with the goal to keep horses sound, comfortable, and supportive of rider equitation. Per serial number, this one has a 7″ gullet (per serial number) but measures larger–closer to 8″, fitting wider than you’d expect plenty of flare and moderate rock to the bars. This one will fit thicker, athletic built horse well. Slightly set back, dropped rigging to help open up the shoulder. Fenders offer a ton of adjustment, going short enough for a youth rider, but plenty long, too. Has room for additional holes if necessary. Has a set of Walls style grip stirrups added. This saddle offers a more classic look with roughed out fenders, jockeys, and seat-with inlaid textured leather bicycle seat that offers nice padding and even more grip. Fully hand tooled in classic Sheridan floral tooling, real wool shearling, and comes fully fitted. We are in love with the conchos, too. They are all Hansen Western Gear (HWG) sterling plated and are so darn pretty. This saddle has seen some ride time, but has been very well cared for. Recently re-roughed out, leather is literally butter soft, and shows less wear than you’d expect for a saddle of this use/age. This is a heck of a saddle, just barely broken in and offered way less than retail! Grab this one now or compete against it later!
