14″ Circle Y Bob Marshall Treeless Barrel Saddle

Here is an incredibly affordable Bob Marshall Treeless Barrel Saddle made by Circle Y. This one is an older one and is showing its age in a few places, but has had a few really great repairs to extend its life well. Per serial number, this one is a 14″, fitting true to that with ultra grippy suede over the seat and jockeys. The nylon rigging is sound, showing very little wear. At some point, this one has had a heavier duty leather stirrup leathers added, rather than the original nylon backed ones, still offering plenty of adjustment with a heck of a lot more durability. It has also had stitching replaced right at the very bottom of the jockeys. Super deep seat on this one with a 4.5″ cantle. Overall, this one has been pretty well taken care of with soft leather. Does have some staining on the seat, but minor. Ok, why is this one priced so well?! Treeless saddles need to be stored properly or the internal frame will start to loose their support. This one isn’t completely compromised, but is well on its way. It doesn’t bend like a saddle taco quite yet, but if its stored poorly in the future it will. This is one to use with a more substantial, stiffer spine saddle pad to replace that support. This one is still sound to ride, but it is important to recognize it’s not as stiff as designed. At this price, there’s lots of ride time left!
