14″ Martha Josey Longhorn All Around Saddle

This saddle is stunning, one that was made when saddles were hand built and hand tooled. Proof that quality saddles last and are worth the investment. You may have seen this one on our TikTok, as it got a TOTAL make over. Literally, every inch of this saddle has been inspected and has had a ton of work done on this beauty. This 14″ Martha Josey series Longhorn is an all around style/pleasure on a wood tree, on QH Bars that measure 6.75″ with  wide flare, that has flatter bars, fitting wider than it measures. Seat measures 14″, with a raised twist and moderate cantle at 3″, however fits larger than it measures. And talk about comfortable! 2.75″ roper horn, reinforced to handle a bit of dallying and work. Shorter skirt at 25″ and has very adjustable fenders, easily going short enough for a youth rider. This one is fully tooled with all hand tooling, with sunflowers. This saddle as designed by Martha Josey, likely in the late 1970’s, to be an all round, all event saddle. This one is ready to ride! Has new fleece on the underside, all new screws and leather rosettes, much of the stitching has been replaced, and has had a TON of leather conditioner. The leather has softened so well, but has darkened in a few places. It is in incredible condition! This is a great saddle to still use, even as an every day saddle, or add to a collection to represent a time when saddles were well made. These quality older saddles last a lifetime!
