14″ Protect Horse Brazilian Barrel Saddle

Offering a Brazilian barrel saddle has been on our list for some time, and boy are we excited to finally be able to offer one to you all! This saddle is so cool, and sooooo insanely light. Protec Horse is one of the early makers that made these saddles so popular in the United States, and it’s easy to see why. They are incredibly well made, and again so darn light weight. This one is all chocolate brown, and while its make from a synthetic material, it has all the feel of roughed out leather or suede. Has a 14″ seat with a very deep seat bed, a very scoopy shaped seat bed with a raised twist–this is one that will keep you secure. Pencil roll and forward set horn. On an X-Wide tree that measures 7.75″ with a ton of shoulder flare, wide through the whole tree, with low rock to the bars. Has ample wither clearance as well. Built on a tree that is a combination of both wood and fiberglass, designed to be both durable and lightweight. Doesn’t have a back cinch slot, but don’t let that worry you. It has a build in Y rigging that reinforces both the front and rear of the tree, coming together at the rigging ring. Rigging is slightly dropped and set back to help open up the shoulder. Very short skirt with an equitation cut under your leg for a great, close contact feel. This saddle has been used, but incredibly well cared for. Other than a few normal/minor signs of wear, the only condition issue to note is that the first layer of the back of the fender has worn through. It’s only the thin top layer, so is purely cosmetic. Fenders are free swinging and offer a ton of adjustability. Has a nice pair of aluminum stirrups added. Finally it’s finished off with a cool, matte gunstock grey star concho. This is a really cool, unique saddle. AND so darn lightweight at just 15lbs. If you’ve been wanting to try a Brazilian barrel saddle but couldn’t swing the new price tag–here’s your chance!
