This is one of those, oldies but goodies saddles. If we are reading the serial number correctly, is from 1990, but don’t let it’s age make you nervous, it’s a lovely older saddle. These ones were made at a time when production line craftsmanship was rare, with each saddle hand tooled, stitched, and inspected. 14″ per serial number, fitting true with that while still having a nice deep seat. Appears to be on QH bars, measuring 6.5″, fitting low and wide, with some rock to the bar. Has wider shoulder flare, making this a great option for an older style built horse with a wider shoulder with withers. It’s clear this saddle’s rider loved it–loved to ride in it but also loved to care for it. The leather is incredibly soft. As with any used saddle, it shows some age and wear. We’ve gone over it with a fine tooth comb and made all necessary repairs. In our favorite, dark oiled leather, tooled in a classic sunflower tooling and finally finished off with a large Alpaca silver rear plate on the skirts. It’s comfortable, classic in look, and incredibly affordable!
