15.5″ Billy Cook Classic Roping Saddle w/ Tack

Wow, is this saddle nice! All you’d expect for a classic OK made Billy Cook. This saddle is darn, DARN nice! This Billy Cook #2121 Roper is the perfect combination of an All Around ranch saddle, team roper and working rope saddle. Fitting true to its 15.5″ seat measurement, with a deep seat pocket that, paired with the free swinging fenders fits securely but isn’t confining. This one is on WIDE fitting QH bars, that measures 6.75″, fitting low and wide with a ton of flare to the bars, and offering just a bit of rock through the bars. Built on a Toots Mansfield rawhide wrapped roping tree. Toots is a world champion roper and was key in designing this tree-ensuing it is durable, comfortable, and fits the needs of ropers in both competitions and everyday ranch work. 3″ post horn, that is reinforce and will hold up to some work–is not currently wrapped. 26″ skirt, 3.5″ cantle, 13″ swell, large rigging rings, and finished off with an upgraded aluminum weighted angled stirrup. Has a newer set of Tandy Leather star conchos added and a TON of x-long saddle strings. This saddle is a bit older, but its been well cared for. Leather is quite soft, has a really nice tooled border stamp. If we were to guess, it was oiled/cleaned with something that leached the color out of the leather so does show some considerable discoloration. However, it isn’t at all unattractive and with some conditioning with products that darken leather-it will even out with time. Comes with fitting with matching Billy Cook breast collar and rear cinch latigo straps. Too often, ropers are rode hard and show it. This one doesn’t appear to have been worked hard, showing minor signs of wear, but likely hasn’t seen much for hard work. This model is getting hard to get ahold of with how popular they are. It may be a while until you see another one, especially at this price.
