16″ Bob’s Custom California Classic Show Saddle

OH MY. This saddle is simply stunning. There is a reason that Bob’s Custom Saddles are some of the most popular high end saddles on the market. This one is the perfect show saddle without being ‘too’ much. It has just the right amount of silver, while still allowing the tooling and construction to stand out on its own. It’s build on Bob’s DL Tree, also called the “Equitation” or “All-Around” seat. The tree is narrow through your thighs and specifically designed to put your upper and lower body in the most correct horsemanship position, limiting the ‘floating’ feeling many other saddles are known for. 17″ seat, padded to 16″. On QH Bars that measure 6.5″, but is more “A” framed with amble wither clearance. This would be a great option for All Around/HUS type horses who find most show saddles too wide. Has nice rock through the bars as well. This looker is built in a classic, California style with a slightly eq cut skirt full double skirt, and fully stamped and tooled in classic Sheridan floral and basketweave. Leather is top grade Hermann Oak leather, finished in a pecan (light oil) color that has hardly darkened at all. Moderate cantle at 3″, offering ample padding to the seat and deeper seat bed that puts its rider on their pockets. 2.75″ pleasure horn, slightly longer skirt at 29″. Fenders offer a ton of adjustability. Has just the right amount of silver, all sterling overlay, with incredible engraving work. Bob’s Saddles area a pivotal part of the Western Show world. In fact, this model is one of the most popular–for literal decades. Their craftsmanship is truly second to none! Now, the shocking part—this is a 2002 model!! Seriously, we were shocked too. This saddle has been babied–stored perfectly, lightly ridden, spending most of its life as a pretty decor item. It was purchased new, but sadly the owner’s show career went another direction. You won’t see another one like this, in this condition. It would look great dyed black too….just saying…. (;
