15.5″ Dakota All Around Western Saddle

$599.00

When people ask us what brand we recommend that is quality but very affordable, we often recommend Dakota Saddles! They are US made, made with great materials, and aren’t as risky as many production saddles. This one is proof of that! Built to look like a roper, without the weight of roping saddle, but is reinforced enough to dally a bit or drag a log. This one is stamped 16″, but with the very deep seat and 4.5″ cantle, this one fits closer to 15.5″. Built on QH Bars that measures 6″, with a more “A” framed tree shape, moderate wither clearance and flare, and is a bit flatter through the bars. This is a great option for a moderately wide, flatter horse. This one was not always black…and when it was first dyed, it was not dyed well. It hadn’t been stripped down and even the rawhide had been dyed. We stripped it down, took the saddle apart and professional dyed it (right this time). However, due to how it was first dyed, it will chalk a bit of color for a while. Thankfully, the chalking is minimal and will lessen with a bit of time and conditioner. Overall, this saddle has been very well cared for. Fenders go crazy short but still have a ton of adjustment, leather is quite soft, and shows far less wear than you’d expect for a saddle of this age. We’ve priced this accordingly, meaning you are going to get a heck of a deal on a saddle like this!
