15” Big Country Saddlery Barrel Saddle

If you look at this saddle and think it looks a ton like an older Billy Cook or Courts…you’re not crazy! From Big Country Saddlery out of Paris, TX, by a saddler who trained with builders from those very companies! While Big Country Saddlery is now closed, its clear this one is a darn nice saddle. While older, its a great example of quality tack lasting through years of use.  This 15” American Barrel saddle is a great all around saddle, while still offering all the security you’d need in speed events. This one measures and fits true to 15″. Truly a family friendly saddle with the fenders going far shorter than you’d expect, plenty short enough for a youth rider. On what appears to be Semi bars, measuring 6″ with moderate flare, good wither clearance, and rock through the bars. Round, single skirt that measures a VERY short 22.5″. 3″ horn, 3.5″ cantle. Quite lightweight too! Roughed out fenders and jockeys, paired with the suede seat, this one is grippy and sure to keep you in your seat. Well cared for with typical scuffs from use, but nice leather and very soft. Does not come with stirrups. This is such a nice, quality and very affordable barrel saddle that is more than appropriate for most arenas. Talk about a great 4-H saddle!
