15″ Billy Shaw Barrel Saddle

Here is a nice, affordable, and quality older barrel saddle. Sadly, Billy Shaw passed away in 2022, so these nice, affordable American made saddles will be harder and harder to find. Despite being a bit of an older saddle, this one is ready barrel race, trail ride, or for 4H. Offers a true 15″ seat while being VERY deep with a deep seat pocket and 4″ cantle. Rides very securely with a suede seat, suede jockeys, and bear trap style swells. On Semi bars that measures 6”, with lots of wither clearance, some flare, and some rock. VERY short skirt at just 23”. Fenders have decent adjustment with the holes currently on the stirrups, but there’s a ton of room between holes to add more. Has slightly set back and dropped rigging to open up the shoulder. Built on a ralide tree, making this one a great, lightweight option. This one is older but is far from used up. Shows normal signs of use and age, is a bit dry from storage but has already softened up with just a bit of attention. The black leather and rawhide accents sure make this a sharp saddle, too. At this price, you can’t go wrong!
