15″ Crates Equi-Fit Reining Saddle

This Reiner is absolutely stunning, in exceptional condition, and has such a high end look that is more than welcome in the modern show pen. But don’t think that because this is a Reiner, that its not an option for an every day saddle. This is the PERFECT marriage between a reiner and trail saddle that has the look of a versatility saddle. This one was custom ordered and does not show up on the Crates serial number archives. It is on the same tree as the #4556 Reining saddle. This one is built on Full QH bars that offers a TON of flare, nice rock, measuring a generous 7″. Built on a Steele Equi-Fit tree, is fiberglass wrapped wood, so is both durable and not quite as heavy. Measures and fits true to 15″ with a slightly raised twist that sits you on your pockets and offers plenty of comfy padding. Not a true eq skirt, but does have a bit of relief under the fender, and does ride with a close contact feel. We can’t get over how darn pretty this saddle is. Offers a medium oiled lather that is butter soft, with a mix of very classic Sheridan floral tooling and basketweave stamping. That, paired with the ivory cream leather seat, this saddle is absolutely stunning. It has been incredibly well cared for with the leather being so darn soft. The ivory seat shows just a bit of minor crazing and a bit of black chap transfer. Has a bit of discoloration/darkening on the jockeys and fenders, but very minor. The slack of the stirrup leathers have been cut (about 6″ total, about 3″ of actual adjustment) but doesn’t impact the adjustability of the fenders much at all. Has a newer set of conchos added. The only condition issue to note on this stunning saddle is a bit of wear to the inside of the near side stirrup, where a naughty puppy chewed the top. You can’t see the damage when in the saddle and doesn’t impact the use of the saddle at all. Grab this saddle now or compete against it later!
