15″ Dakota Barrel Saddle

An affordable barrel saddle, from a reputable brand, and will work for all around classes…Sign us up! This Dakota tooled barrel saddle is just waiting to hit the arena! This is an older Dakota, so isn’t stamped with a model number but measures 15″ to stitching, but with the very deep seat, this one will fit true to 14.5″.  Lighter weight as its built on a ralide tree, on QH bars that measures 6.45″ with a more “A” framed tree, lots of flare and plenty of wither clearance. This one has a some rock, won’t impede on the shoulders, and offers plenty of clearance. This is a great option for a horse who has a narrower top line but is wide through the rib cage. Has a nice, short skirted saddle at just 23.5″, slightly dropped 7/8th rigging to help open up the shoulder too. 4.5″ cantle with a very deep seat and slightly raised twist. Smooth leather over the jockeys and fenders and just the right amount of tooling. Free swinging fenders with loads of adjustment. 3″ horn, 9″ thigh space, and is light weight, weighing just 28lbs. We can’t decide if this one is black that has faded just a bit or if its very dark brown….so we are calling this one very dark brown. This one has seen some use, but has been well cared for. No major signs of wear aside from minor nicks/scuffs, and one missing concho on the off side (has been replaced with a screw and leather rosette). The leather has dried a bit from storage, but the leather on Dakotas are really nice and some conditioning will do this wonders. Talk about an affordable, quality saddle!
