15″ Hereford Balance Rigged All Around Saddle

$799.00

This is such a coooool older saddle! This is an older Hereford (from 1980 if we are reading the serial number right), but is in great shape and can help riders start out safely and still be affordable. This 15″ Hereford roping saddle marries together elements of a reiner, equitation saddle, and roper on a wood tree. Designed to hold up to plenty, whether that be trails, a bit of dallying, and ranch horse events. Older style seat with raised twist while still offering a deep seat and moderate cantle at 3.5″. Lighter horn, but still reinforced for light dallying. Has slightly narrower set swells.  On QH Bars that measure 6.75″ with a wider flare, and offers a bit of rock.  27″ skirt, and has very adjustable fenders, easily going long enough for a leggy rider. To make this older saddle even better, this Hereford was built with the great team up with Monte Foreman, who designed the Balance Ride tree. Flatter, three point rigging, freely swinging, forward set stirrups offer a closer contact and less constricting ride. There is a cult following with these saddles! The three-point rigging is in excellent condition, showing little to know stretching. Has upgraded strings and a cool, custom bling concho that really gives the nice older saddle a great look. Loved, mid oiled leather that has a fully stamped skirts with stamping accents, all in basket weave. In remarkable condition given its age. No major wear to note, but would benefit from more conditioning as its just a bit dry. These quality older saddles last a lifetime!
